1. What is the Coastal Thrive Dance Festival?

The Coastal Thrive Dance Festival is an exciting annual dance competition where talented dancers and dance teams from all over come to showcase their skills, compete for prizes, and celebrate the art of dance in a fun and supportive environment. We offer categories for soloists, duets, and groups, and cater to dancers of all levels.

2. How do I register for the event?

You can register for the Coastal Thrive Dance Festival directly on our website by visiting the Registration page. Simply fill out the registration form, select your competition categories, and submit your payment. Once your registration is complete, you will receive a confirmation email with all the details.

3. Are there any age requirements for participants?

Yes, participants must meet the age requirements for the specific categories they are competing in. We have age divisions for soloists, duets, and group performances. Please check the Competition Categories page for more information on age limits for each category.

4. What are the registration fees?

Registration fees vary depending on the category and the number of participants. You can find a detailed breakdown of fees on the Registration page. Please note that all fees are non-refundable unless the event is canceled or rescheduled by Coastal Thrive Dance Festival.

7. Can I transfer my registration to someone else?

Yes, you can transfer your registration to another participant up to February 1st, 2026 before the event. Please contact us at Coastal.thrive.dance.festival@gmail.com to initiate the transfer process.

8. What should I bring to the event?

Participants should bring:

• Dance attire and shoes appropriate for their performance.

• Music files (if applicable) on a USB or via email submission before the event.

• A positive attitude and enthusiasm to support fellow dancers!

• Water and snacks to stay hydrated and energized during the event.

9. What is the judging criteria for the competition?

Judging is based on several key factors, including:

• Choreography and Creativity

• Technique and Execution

• Stage Presence and Performance Quality

• Costume and Presentation

• Adherence to Category Requirements Judges will provide constructive feedback to all participants, and awards will be given based on performance and scores.

10. Can I attend the event as an audience member?

Yes, Entrance into the theatre is free of charge except for our final dance challenge, which will take place on Sunday late in the afternoon.

11. Is there an age limit for spectators?

There is no age limit for spectators, but we do ask that younger children be supervised at all times. The event is open to all ages, and we want everyone to have a fun and enjoyable experience.

12. Are there any accommodations near the venue?

Yes! We have partnered with local hotels to offer special rates for participants and spectators. More information on nearby hotels and booking details will be email out once registration is closed.

13. Will the event be held if the weather is bad?

The event will proceed as scheduled, regardless of weather conditions. If there are any significant disruptions (e.g., safety concerns due to weather), we will notify participants and spectators as soon as possible through our website and social media channels.
